“This website has been blocked for you!” Virus (Survey Scam)

I am getting a screen that says my computer was locked by the “This website has been blocked for you!” Virus, whenever I try to access some popular sites like Facebook, Google, Yahoo,bing, etc. I have been blocked by survey scam. Then it makes me fill in a survey to get unblocked but it involves putting my card number into the survey. Is this any thing to do with police survey? what should i do?

The “This website has been blocked for you!” Virus is a new ransomware attack that has been hitting computer users in the English speaking countries recently. It is extremely similar to the old FBI virus that was targeting the same geographic location. This attack is passed onto the computer during the installation of a program that was downloaded online, opening an attachment, playing a video file, or by visiting a site that has been compromised by the “This website has been blocked for you!” virus. Once it finishes installing it will immediately lock the computer and display a message claiming that the user has violated the law and must now pay a fine of 100 pounds before access to the computer will be granted. There are two options that can be used to pay the claim, and they are ukash and paysafecard. While the message appears to come directly from the cyber police and even displays the IP address of the user to make it appear that they truly do have the correct person. This is NOT a message from the Police, as it is a fraudulent extortion attempt by cyber criminals and hacker organizations who are attempting to steal money from unsuspecting PC users. Can’t get rid of http://start.sweetpacks.com/ search engine from Windows 7, Win 8, Vista or Windows XP? It seems all my browsers( Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and so on) have been hijacker by that thing. How to delete this pops up that keeps redirecting? Any suggestions?

What an embarrassment! I think my laptop got a Pageset Redirect thing. When I started my browser, it would open a Pageset.com which was very similar to google.com. But when I tried to search something on it, it would not really give me the searching results. It just opened some noisy pages that I didn’t want. But I’m not able to remove it. Who can help me?

AVASoft Professional Antivirus

I have been cheated by this AVASoft Professional Antivirus totally. I downloaded it on a blog site accidentally. And then it popped up a window telling me that there are many viruses in my computer. So I clicked the clean virus button to remove it but it asked me to purchase it.  But I have another anti-virus.  I don’t want this one. Unfortunately, it blocked all programs in my computer running.
