Home page on Firefox got changed to unfamiliar site – Searchpig.net? What is this web site? Is it just another regular site with a search engine and some categories of resources? But why is it constantly changing the home page away and setting itself as the steady home page URL? Also, how come it often redirects people to unwanted web sites? How can one stop these unpleasant experiences?
Browser Redirect – Searchpig.net Description
Searchpig.net is a web site which is different from all the other regular sites online because it’s categorized as a browser redirect issue here. A browser redirect or browser hijacker is defined by its characters. In other words, to become a browser redirect virus, it will have to act like this: a) hacking into computers without permission from owners; b) performing unusual actions on browsing applications and c) showing unwanted sites or pop ups when you surf online. Searchpig.net redirect matches with all these characters which can be visibly seen or experienced on the computer. And most importantly, a browser hijacker is created to help PC hackers benefit from the browsing records and valuable information it has collected out of the many computers.

Hijacked by Webbrowsersearch.com Redirect Virus – How to Remove?
The Webbrowsersearch.com browser hijacker (also known as Web Browser Search) is an attack designed by cyber criminals and they are spreading the plug in throughout the Internet in an attempt to infect as many computers as possible. It is very similar to hijackers that redirected Internet users to Sirefef.gen!c, Mixidj.claro-search.com or delta search engine. While Web Browser Search is created by a legitimate company many computer users report that webbrowsersearch.com was set as their default search engine and homepage without their permission. This is a browser redirect that will take the user to a “search engine” that resembles the most popular ones but there is one big difference: this one doesn’t really work. When a search is performed the user is just taken to a webpage that is packed full of ads and links that pay the hacker each time they are clicked on. While some browser hijacks are designed just to make money from click, this one is a bit more dangerous. Read the rest of this post »

XP Micro Antivirus will per form a free scan of your PC to find all System Threats.” in Windows XP. How can i delete XP Micro Antivirus Online Scan fake alert? The http://pcspeedplus.com/scan/ is a browser hijack that attacks PC users running Windows and will change the default browser in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Internet Explorer and send the user to a destination that is full of advertisements, sponsored listings, ad annoying pop up ads. It is the same dangerous as http://start.sweetpacks.com/ virus. Once installed, it will redirect the user to a page controlled by the organization behind the hijacker. This started after user saw a popup that was from Adobe Flash Player to update software and started to do the “custom” install. If you “uninstalled” the new stuff, and then started getting these popups. Downloaded “Adblocker”, changed pop-up blocker setting to “Medium” risk, and put this URL on my “Don’t allow” list, but it just keeps popping up. AVG Free kept popping up with : AVG Detection: Threat: Exploit Rogue Scanner (type 831) Object name: http://pcspeedplus.com/scan/. You still got a pop-up from Windows IE: hidefinstall.com saying it was reported as an “unsafe” website and recommended that you go to your home page instead.Unsuspecting users might not realize it for the first couple of times, but it will become evident fairly quickly that their normal Google, Yahoo, or Bing search pages have been replaced.
