I had an appeared to be a message from Microsoft saying I had a virus. So I called the number, when they gave me the price I hung up, but my mouse started going crazy and posting stuff on Facebook that I did not post. It was KE IT Secure Cart. Is there a way to correct this?
What is “Microsoft Critical Alert” Scam?
“Microsoft Warning Alert” is detecting made up threats and encourages you to call a toll free number. It is to replace your default browser and homepage with its sponsored web page. It can control the entire web browser installed on your computer, and then modify your browser Settings, change the page, or hijack your screen to force you to see their alert window. It shares many similarities with Microsoft Has Detected A Porn Virus, Warning Internet Security Breached, Your Computer Has Been Infected With Virus, and many other fake error messages. All state that the system is infected or damaged in other similar ways, however, this information is false and should not be trusted. The only purpose of this software is to generate revenue for the developers. In fact, PUPs all have an identical purpose – by offering various ‘useful functions’, they attempt to give the impression of legitimacy. Rather than providing any significant value for regular users, potentially unwanted programs cause unwanted redirects, display intrusive advertisements, and gather personal information. I just got an Australian Communications and Media Authority notice warning popup on my iPhone 6, and this warning alert blocked my Safari totally, and every app that uses the internet can’t be open. My internet on iPhone seems to be also blocked completely. I was just looking up and read some materials about my research thesis on line. Then this warning alert popped up suddenly and said I have seen charged with a criminal charge. It accused me of downloading or watching pornography contents and other illegal materials prohibited by the criminal laws of Australia. It really scared me half to death. I just read some legit material and didn’t do anything wrong. How can I get this kind of warning alert? I don’t know how to get this Australian Communications and Media Authority warning off my iPhone. Can you please help me?

My new laptop Asus just gets compromised with a Trojan virus called W97M.Dowloader.EQK which is detected by my Norton, but Norton seems just can scan it but can’t remove the virus completely. Every time when I restart my laptop, this virus is still scanned by Norton. I know there should be many infected files in the deep system and important places like registry, start up items and so on, but I don’t know how to eradicate it?
Brief Introduction of W97M.Dowloader.EQK Virus
W97M.Dowloader.EQK is a Trojan horse that downloads malicious files on the compromised computer. This Trojan virus is very stubborn and hazardous to the system security. Once it gets into the system, it will soon change the default settings of your Windows. It changes the start-up item, which will make computer automatically restart, shut down. As soon as you run the computer, the virus will soon run at the same time. And meanwhile, it will change or disable the important system settings. The critical files, programs and documents are changed and disabled by malicious files of the virus. W97M.Dowloader.EQK virus even can keep implanting and reduplicating its executable files in system, which can bypass the detection of the antivirus tool. This Trojan horse can root deeply into system. That is the main reason why antivirus can’t completely remove it. When system important files are damaged and disabled, computer will run abnormally. When you start up computer, some error codes will show on screen or you even cannot boot up the machine. Some unwanted files with extension of .exe will show on some system folders, which will take up some capacity of system. Some .exe files on desktop even can’t be deleted. Computer performance also slows down. If you open many programs or processes, computer will get stuck or windows explorer often stops working. While this W97M.Dowloader.EQK infection affects your computer, you will find web browser also runs slower than before, because many junk files are created to take up too much system capacity and Internet resources.

I like to watch movies and TV shows instantly on Popcorn Time, but when I come to China, the Popcorn Time doesn’t work, I can’t access any movies and TV shows here, do you have any idea to get better internet connection to access Popcorn Time in China?
Why Popcorn Time is Banned in China?
Many foreign websites especially social media websites and video streaming service like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Snapchat, KakaoTalk, Netflix, Line, Pandora, Sky GO, New York Times or the Wall Street Journal etc are not allowed to access in China. That’s because these websites are blocked by China’s Great Firewall (GFW). China government creates this internet censorship in order to regulate its national internet. In fact, many foreign social media websites and video streaming services were blocked following the July 2009 Ürümqi riots because Xinjiang independence activists were using Facebook as part of their communications network. And then Chinese government creates and operates its filtering system called Great Firewall to censor its internet to preserve China’s “cyberspace sovereignty”. GFW blocks potentially unfavorable incoming data from foreign countries and restrict access to certain websites. Besides, Popcorn Time uses Bitcoin protocol to operate. Popcorn Time is banned in some countries where forbid websites related to piracy and copyright defense. Many countries including China don’t allow downloading of pirated music, video, warez, and using or disseminating of copyrighted contents. So what’s the best way to access Popcorn Time in China?

I had this app that popped up saying something about my browser is heavily damaged due to (6) viruses after that I looked up some info on my iPhone. They said it was probably just something to advertise something. But I have no idea if Im being paranoid. I just got a new phone, and ever since that pop up my battery has been draining faster. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Do you think this is the result of malware on the phone? This keeps happening to me and I’ve tried cleaning my phone with various anti-virus apps but it’s still popping up. How do I remove it completely?
Is the Fake Alert Dangerous for my Phone? How did it comes up?
“Your browser is heavily damaged due to (6) viruses” Fake Alert is frequently mentioned by many Android and Apple users. It is reported that the Android phone or tablet, iPhone and iPad would be locked suddenly. It intrude into the system and damage your battery and sent the steps to ask you remove the virus. Infect it is a scam message. In addition, users are asked for paying an amount of fine if there is a will to unlock the infected device. Therefore, people may think that the phone or tablet is attacked by (6) virus fake alert or other similar ransomware. They are all cyber malware, which are designed by online criminals to cause troubles and make illegal profits from innocent mobile phone users. If there is an emergency like this, victims should not think much about it. The virus claims that your device is 28.1% damaged and your phone’s SIM card, contacts, photos, data, applications, etc. will be damaged or corrupted. Is it true? I would say, the virus itself will not cause such damages. But that does not mean your device or data is safe without complete removal of the virus. It is those malicious apps that may have managed to sneak into your system via this virus will result in these damages. It is probably true in the cases where the victims have followed the instructions provided by the virus to repair the phone. Do not follow the instructions if you see the virus message on your phone, because even if you pay the cyber criminals you will not regain access to your device. Or you cannot pay any money for unlocking. What you must do is to search for technical instructions or ask for professional advice to remove this fake on attacked Android phone or tablet as soon as possible. Read the rest of this post »
