Every time I open my browser, it takes me to Speedial.com directly. It seems this Speedial Search has hijacked my homepage which should be Google before. Now I cannot reset my homepage to Google anymore. I went to my browser settings and typed in www.google.com to the homepage box, then clicked on Ok to save changes. But it just ignoredmy changes and still came up with this page. This issue is extremely annoying. How do I get rid of such a malicious browser hijacker?
Speedial.com Redirect/Hijacker Description:
Speedial.com (also called Speedial Search) is a browser hijacker threat that can open itself as a new tab or come automatically at the start up page on your browsers. It looks similar to Google originally so many PC users don’t take much notice when it is installed. However, as time goes by, they will find out the browser is going crazy as if it has a mind of its own. Being as a browser redirecting malware, it can be disguised as a toolbar or a plug-in installed together with freeware or shareware. Once downloaded, it can change web browser’s default home page and other settings without your permission. The first change you will find on your computer is the homepage modification. Whenever you open Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or even Google Chrome, Speedial Search page pops up immediately taking over your homepage and refuses to let you reset the homepage back to the web pages you want. It sticks on your browser and forces you to use its corrupted search engine as your default search. Sometimes, the browser would be open for 10 or 15 seconds and then just close itself down again. It makes browsing experience extremely difficult.
Whenever I surf the web, especially for those shopping web sites like Amazon, Ebay, I keep receiving “Ads by Savings Avenger” pop-up which is annoying and hard to remove. I am using Internet Explorer and it goes crazy, however Firefox can work well. It all started two days ago after I updated my flash player. Anyway, I have tried all the methods I can to get rid of the pop-up but it still doesn’t work. AVG also shows nothing when I start a scan. How do I remove those crazy ads?
“Ads by Savings Avenger” Pop-up – How to Remove?
Do you keep receiving Ads by Savings Avenger on your browsers? If you get this problem on your computer, then it is likely a malicious adware called Savings Avenger has successfully installed on your computer without your knowledge. Now adware is closely associated with browser hijacker or PUP (potentially unwanted programs) malware, so it runs high risk for the compromised PC. When it is installed and hijacks Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Apple Safari, victims will be difficult to get online and use the computer properly. This hijacker gives random pop ups on websites you are watching, so it may keep popping up small windows and asking you to click on them in order to get a coupon and save your money. In addition, it redirects users on suspicious web pages to affect the overall performance of the browser. To more specific, whenever you click on a certain link, it redirects you to other irrelevant pages. Those pages may present as a search engine and force you to use it as your default search provider. However, once you did that, you’ll find it just gives you untrusted results and soon realize this is a spam search providing nothing helpful. It also can take you to porno sites that contain a lot of viruses in order to further attack your PC.

PUP.MagnetDownloader has infected my computer. I do not know how it got installed, nor do I beware where it came from. I seldom scan my computer since I always keep a good habit when I am on the internet. Today I just ran a full scan on my computer and hoped that it still works fine though I have been feeling that it runs quite slowly for some time. Then the infection message shocked me. My PC is infected by a Trojan virus and the AV software cannot kill it. How can I remove it?
PUP.MagnetDownloader belongs to potentially unwanted programs. It is categorized as a Trojan virus. As a Trojan virus, this PUP often slows down the PC speed greatly. And from its name we can learn that this is a virus which will cause backdoor download tasks. It means that when the computer (if it has been infected by this PUP virus) is connected to the internet there is great chance that unnoticeable download tasks are created. Some malicious programs or adware will get access to the infected system which has already been weakened significantly. As a result of that, the infected PC can get more and more problems such as the bad performance, random errors and freezing from time to time.
