My Firefox was hijacked by Searchassist.me redirect which brought me great troubles. After getting this browser hijacker, I can’t reach specific Internet search results as usual but those pesky sponsored sites. Some default browser settings were changed casually. Eticosearch.com has become my homepage for a long time which bothers me a lot. Actually this website is not I used to set as my homepage. It just came up once I open my browser several weeks ago. I use Google Chrome & Avast internet security. I have a Dell, Windows 7 laptop that is just over a year old. The avast has been working quite well. However, over the past couple of days my internet browsing has been interrupted quite frequently by numerous types of pop up ads, usually it gives me PCWebStat.com pop-up. It is really annoying. I downloaded music from mp3juices and next thing i know i had this Websearch.fastosearch.info hijacker that took over my Google Chrome. I tried to download avast spyware but it says nothing in my computer is corrupted? I searched on the Internet and it says this threat should be removed manually.
