Trying to remove a virus that returns a “this file or this program contains a virus and has been deleted” message anytime I am trying to download a PDF or Microsoft Office file. Every download gets “This program contained a virus and was deleted.” or “This file contained a virus and was deleted.” problem? And this problem happens in Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows 8 or Windows XP OS. Internet explorer can not download any file error program contained virus and delete. All the browsers ( Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and so on) on my laptop/desktop got this problem, In Google I find many people with this problem for all sites, but no solutions, when I have the dreaded “file contained a virus and was deleted” virus. Can’t download anything, how do i resolve this problem? I cant download anything it keeps saying download contains virus and deletes it.
What is “This Program or This File contained a virus and was deleted”? How to fix?
Many computer users got a headache problem “This Program contained a virus and was deleted“. When this happens, they were unable to download anything – from files, Adobe, emails to programs etc. For example, you’ll click open/save on an email attachment, it’ll say it’s downloading and as soon as it downloads it says “XXX contained a virus and was deleted.” This file contains virus and was deleted ( this happens on Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7 or Windows 8 all downloaded files). And there is a red notice warning then the file has been deleted away from your computer. The message pops up from Internet Explorer, if people continue to download things from other browsers, like Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, all files you have downloaded still be deleted away, the different is without any alert if you don’t user IE. So Internet Explorer gives an error “This Program contained a Virus and was deleted”. One of the victims said “When i try to open PDF in email it says it has a virus, what does it mean when computer shows a virus warning when downloading, why i keep getting contained a virus and was deleted message? I have been searching on Google for answers and tried to download Malware, Firefox etc but of course the same thing happened. I use Microsoft Security Essentials as my anti-virus but it won’t help, what to do?”
When users try to download anything, updates, it will download the file then deleted it telling them “this file contained a virus and was deleted”. If your Windows Internet Explorer Download Manager automatically deletes any file which you downloaded, it seems because of the corrupted firewall or antivirus program on your computer, actually it is caused by Trojan horse. It doesn’t matter which version of the browser you are using, you will get a message “This Program contained a virus and was deleted” after you complete the download. All things have been deleted after finished downloading at the end of %100. That is crazy if you stuck with this issue as you can’t download anything from all the browsers. How do you deal with message stating a file “Contained a virus and was deleted” in IE9 or IE 10.0? Since no antivirus programs can handle this bug, manual removal is the only way to fix this big problem.

PDF files etc then you get this message “this program contained a virus and was deleted”, although you have tried disabling antivirus software, AVG 2013, Microsoft Security Essentials, Norton or Mcafee and all the firewalls but the problem still exists. People have also tried to download the same file using Google Chrome or Firefox, but still have the same problem. When suffered from this problem, computer users used the methods from the forums provided and it still didn’t work. The situation is that it ran through the entire download procedure, but when it got to the end and it gave a notification at the bottom of the screen that read like this: “Chrome 11.0.89.exe contained a virus and was deleted”. If users shut down the AVG anti-virus before running the download, they still not able to download files from internet saying “this file contains a virus and was deleted”. Video On How To Resolve This File Download Problem “contained a virus and was deleted”:
Up to now, Whenever computer users try to download any of files, products they wanted, they keep getting a message stating “This Program contained a Virus and was deleted“. For Reader it reads like this: adberdr1014_en_us.exe contained a virus and was deleted, for Flashplayer, it reads like this: install_flashplayer11x32ax_gtbp_chra_aih.exe contained a virus and was deleted, for AVG it reads like this: AVG2013_en_us.exe contained a virus and was deleted. Tried shutting down all anti-virus software but it didn’t help. The problem that led to all of this was that Adobe Reader stopped working or something was blocking it, because you could no longer open any type of PDF files, so whatever you want to download then you received this message at the end of the downloading. Not everyone can fix this right away as no one can download tools to stop this warning message. It is important to fully check your system and get it resolved by a PC professional, and this is the best way to keep your computer safe.
