VPN provider Golden Frog recently announced a new private protocol that masquerading as VPN traffic allows it to penetrate national firewalls.

For Iran and other countries of the firewall VPN traffic through deep packet inspection recognition, Golden Frog launched their VyprVPN professional users Chameleon Protocol for privacy.

According to Golden Frog President Sunday Yokubaitis, the chameleon protocol scrambles all VPN metadata to make it “invisible.” An Iranian customer has successfully used the service to penetrate the firewall.

In addition to the randomized metadata, Yokubaitis did not reveal more technical details about the chameleon protocol, which is known as a private security protocol based on 256-bit SSL.

Due to not open source, chameleon this private security protocols in the special period after snowden events is very difficult to win the trust of key customers.
