Not being detected by security tools, this DealScout hijacker can be widely implanted on the Internet by cyber hackers. When people come to the corrupted pages, their browsers can be added evil plug-ins automatically. It is not easy for users to distinguish the add-ons are good or bad as cyber hackers can forge them with different misleading names. Also, this hijacker can be bundled with other programs, when people download the programs that have this hijacker implanted onto their machines, after they install the problematic programs to the computers, their systems can be attacked by this hijacker right away.

When this DealScout infiltrates target computers, people will not notice that they have this problem on their machines as anti-virus programs cannot detect it as a virus. System registry can be damages by this hijacker’s data as it can mess up the system settings. In this case, this hijacker can be activated from the startup, which means that users will get disturbed by this hijacker whenever they boot up the infected computers. It will generate tons of irrelevant pop-ups to users, and the performance of the infected computers can be slowed down rapidly as the pop-ups can waste a large part of CPU resource on the background. With the help of this DealScout, cyber criminals can be able to collect privacy information saved on the infected computers for illegal goals.
