I ran a full scan on my computer as I have left it in the corner for several days. Then may Microsoft Security Essential detected an infection of TrojanDownloader:Win32/Waledac.AK. I have no idea how and when I got this Trojan and I clicked remove button to delete the virus. But when I did another full scan to make sure it had gone. The infection alert came back. I have tried for more than five times and all failed at last. The virus detected warning just keeps popping up. And it seems I am not powerful enough to remove it by myself. Anyone can help?
Information about TrojanDownloader:Win32/Waledac.AK
TrojanDownloader:Win32/Waledac.AK is a newly released Trojan infection among machines which have Windows operating system. It has become a common infection recently. You may not be able to know the time when it gets down to a target computer. Because the Trojan virus is able to disguise itself with some normal programs and thus it is enabled to escape from the notice of antivirus soft ware. It is usually bundled with some free or unsafe package installers. The specific program which you mean to download and install is good but the way you get the installer may be with some doubts in safety. It may be from some sites which provides free download and the files there can be uploaded by cyber criminals who have modified the installer package with some rookits or virus processes. That is a way they make viruses spread when computer users download and install the soft ware online. For example, when you install a normal soft ware or program, you can see many files installed in the process of the installation. The files of the Trojan will break into your computer system along with the installation.
The antivirus program usually does not detect a regular installation of a normal program or soft ware. That is the reason why the virus will not be detected at first. But later on, when the hidden rookits or virus begins to infect your system files or modify other files of good programs the antivirus can realize and send out warnings as soon as it finds som. But it is not good to find it out so late. TrojanDownloader:Win32/Waledac.AK may have spread all over your hard drives as it has gained the access to the system registry entries. If you cannot find out the exact documents of the virus and delete them all from both the registry and the system files the Trojan will very likely to come back again after your efforts to remove it. Since not all computer users are computer savvy it is not easy to remove the virus with personal efforts.
