Twitch is streaming service which is dedicating in video game! Twitch website is not accessed now. It totally has been blocked in China. According to the BBC, Twitch’s official website has been unreachable since September 20th, and the app is no longer available in the local Apple App Store.

Gaming services are yet another target by the Chinese Government, as shown by the recent decision to also block the highly popular communication tool Discord as well. Although China is accustomed to livestreaming platforms through giants such as Douyu and Huya, Twitch hadn’t gotten much attention in China until recently. With several matches from the Asian Games in Jakarta only being available on Twitch, the streaming service saw a boost in engagement from China. With the inability to regulate content, and more importantly chat functionalities within Twitch, China’s response comes as no surprise.
